Parkwood Lodge Frequently Asked Questions
What is your cancellation policy?
For many of our rate classes, we require a 50% deposit at the time of booking. We have a 7-day cancellation policy. If you need to cancel your reservation and there are more than 7 days before your arrival date, we will return your deposit, less a $15 cancellation fee.
If there are fewer than 7 days before your arrival date, the deposit will be forfeited.
The only exception is our Non-Refundable Rate. If you book a Non-Refundable Rate, the full amount is processed at the time of booking and is non-refundable for any reason.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is any time after 3 p.m., and check-out is at 11 a.m.
Is early check-in possible?
It certainly is! If you arrive before 3 p.m., please give us a call to see if your room is ready. If the room is not quite ready, you are welcome to use our indoor pool and whirlpool, game room, or sports courts.
While we cannot guarantee early check-in, we do our best to accommodate guests who arrive early.
Are you pet-friendly?
Sorry, Parkwood Lodge is not pet-friendly.

What if I have a service animal?
We welcome service animals. A service animal is any animal that is trained to perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including assisting someone who is visually impaired, detecting seizures, or calming someone with PTSD during an anxiety attack.
We do not allow ESAs, or Emotional Support Animals, as they are not recognized as service animals under the ADA or Wisconsin law. ESAs provide comfort or emotional support but are not trained to perform specific tasks related to a disability.
Do you have water views from the property?
Parkwood Lodge is a wooded property with about 10 acres of open grassy areas to play on. While we do not have water views from the property, we are approximately 1 mile north of Fish Creek Beach and about 3 miles south of Ephraim’s Beach.
We are also close to Nicolet Beach, located in Peninsula State Park.
Where is Parkwood Lodge located?
Parkwood Lodge is located about a mile and a half north of the center of Fish Creek. We are approximately 8 miles north of Egg Harbor, about 8 miles south of Sister Bay, and about 8 miles west of Baileys Harbor.
We like to say that, depending on traffic, we are no more than 45 minutes away from any of Door County’s great attractions.
What amenities does Parkwood Lodge have?
Parkwood Lodge has a warm indoor pool, whirlpool, and game room with a pool table and some video games. The office, pool, and game room are open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Parkwood Lodge also has sports courts, including pickleball courts, tennis courts, and a basketball court. We provide the equipment. The sports courts are available during daylight hours, as there are no lights for use after sunset.
We are located on 10 acres of wooded, parklike land. Scattered throughout the property are picnic tables, and we also have charcoal grills available by each building. We do not provide charcoal, but it can be purchased at our local gas station, located about a quarter mile south of Parkwood.
Parkwood Lodge also has a fire pit. We provide firewood, starter bricks, and matches at the Front Desk. We ask that fires are put out by 11 p.m., when quiet hours begin.
We also offer complimentary Wi-Fi for our guests, as well as free parking.
Do you have a meeting room or conference center?
We do not have a dedicated indoor gathering area. We have a few Family Suites available, and some guests have also found our 1-Bedroom Suites convenient.
We also have a beautiful outdoor sun deck, picnic tables, and open outdoor areas that can work well for gathering.

How old do you have to be to rent a room at Parkwood Lodge?
You must be at least 18 years old to reserve a room, and you may need to present a valid ID to prove your age. We must also have a credit card on file for any incidentals.
Do you have specials or rates available?
We may, depending on the time of year. Please check our specials page for current deals and add-ons:
https://www.parkwoodlodge.com/hotel-special-offers.html
Are you able to be flexible on your rates or minimums?
We spend a lot of time making sure our rates are competitive with properties that have similar amenities to Parkwood Lodge. Unless we are running a special, our rates are generally set.
As far as minimum stays, we are sometimes able to be flexible. We encourage you to call us, as we may have a one or two-night stay available.
Do you have rooms with accessibility options?
We do. We have two Lodge rooms, two Kitchenettes, and two 1-Bedroom Suites with accessibility features. All of these units have vanities in the bathroom. There are also grab bars near the toilet and in the shower.
The showers are step-in showers with a 1-inch step-in. The entry door is 36 inches wide, and there may be a slight step, about 1 inch, to enter the room.
We do have ramps available to make it easier for a wheelchair to enter. It can be difficult for a wheelchair to have easy access in our 1-Bedroom Suites, so we recommend our Kitchenettes or Lodge rooms for better ease of use.
Parkwood Lodge does not have elevators. There are 14 stairs to the second floor.
How far in advance can I reserve a visit to Parkwood Lodge?
Our booking engine allows bookings up to about a year in advance. We are always available by phone to help if you are unable to find the dates you are interested in.
Our number is 920-868-2046, and we are ready to help.
What if I see a better rate somewhere else?
We have direct control of our rates and how they are shared. However, if you see a lower rate than what we offer on our website, give us a call and we will be happy to match that rate.
There are also many advantages to booking direct, including floor preference, requesting to be near fellow guests, or asking to be near the pool.
